Where were you when I wanted someone to talk to?

Where were you when I wanted someone to share my thoughts with?

Where were you when I wanted someone to share my joy with?

Where were you when I wanted someone to share my pain with?

Where were you when I wanted a shoulder to cry on?

 I don’t want to get lost in these unfolding events

I search for you but I am met with silence

 I want to share my thoughts with you

Friends said it was a nuisance

However, he was as excited as I was
A year later he sent a message about the day....nice
