And I couldn't stop grinning

I have not been blogging, and I don't have any excuse... well I have but not that it matters. As far as I know I have not been fair to this page. So here I am trying to make amends and put up a new attitude to this blog.
Can you imagine it was part of my new year resolutions to continue blogging and it took me 3 months into the year for me to sit up.

I am apologizing for being away for so long.

The post today happened on Valentine's day yeah I know its like more than a month since it was celebrated but let me share it with you.

Valentine’s day, Thank God it was a Monday, wasn’t expecting any gift from anyone. For me it was going to be like any ordinary Monday.  Work was on my mind, clearing the backlog of paper work of the weekend.  My boss got all the ladies in the office a bar of chocolate each, it was so unexpected and I was very happy because it meant I didn’t gnash after all. I was busy at work and it kept my mind from wandering into the memories of the previous year.

Soon the day was over and it was time to go home. The queue at circle was unbearably long, meaning I wasn’t the only one who didn’t go out! Yahhh. There is this guy I am on hi basis with in the queue don’t know his name wish I did now. Saw him, said hi, smiled shyly and went my way to join the queue.

Just as I was minding my business a chocolate seller tapped on my shoulder and said someone (she pointed to the hi basis guy) said I should give this to you...it was a small red paper bag. I opened the bag and in it was a  golden tree kingsbite chocolate bar tied with a red ribbon.

One of the best chocolates I have had in a while

I smiled and went like awww lifted my eyes and I was met with lots of smiles and glances all the way from his end of the queue to where I was.
Apparently the people in the queue were curious of the person he was sending the chocolate to.

I gave him a sweet smile, was equally met with one and nodded a thank you. This simple unexpected gesture really touched me, it made my evening, the lesson learned was I didn’t gnash after all…And I couldn’t stop grinning. It was one of the best chocolates I have had in a while.
